The International Chefs Congress, Andaz Wall Street and Pernod Ricard are bringing two internationally acclaimed chefs together for the first time to host the Local Harvest Dinner at Wall & Water restaurant.
This seven-course dinner will feature the famed Nordic cuisine of Chef Mathias Dahlgren, internationally known as the first Swedish chef to win the Bocuse d’Or award in 1997, one of the world's most prestigious cooking competitions. Dahlgren will be serving dishes inspired by his restaurant Mathias Dahlgren, located in the Grand Hôtel Stockholm, which is the recipient of two Michelin stars and listed as #41 of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
Chef Jordan Kahn has trained at some of America’s (and the world’s) best restaurants such as Per Se and Alinea with culinary legends Thomas Keller and Grant Achatz to develop the inventive pastry techniques that he became famous for. However, Kahn will be serving Southeast Asian flavors from his newest venture, Red Medicine in Los Angeles, the newest hot spot for Vietnamese inspired cuisine, where he is Executive Chef and Partner.
Menu highlights include wild mushroom and truffle pizza with crème fraîche and parsley; tartare of beef and oysters, tallow emulsion, onions and watercress; and salt-baked beets and Jerusalem artichokes, roasted hazelnuts, cheese, potato-malt soil, and black truffles. Guests will also enjoy a delectable dessert selection created by Andaz Wall Street Chef Victor Cruz and specialty cocktail parings and libations courtesy of Pernod Ricard throughout the evening.
